Hello!

Hi, I’m Andrea Grover (formerly Wiggins).

Photo of a woman with short blue hair and large hoop earrings.I’m an Associate Professor in Information Systems & Quantitative Analysis at the University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Information Science & Technology. I study public participation in data-intensive scientific collaboration (large-scale citizen science) and issues related to data management and technologies. I teach classes on information management, data management, and information technology ethics.

My research centers on sociotechnical systems for large-scale collaboration and knowledge production. My current work focuses on the role of technologies in citizen science and evaluating individual and collective performance and productivity in open collaboration. I’m interested in how ordinary people become involved in meaningful real-world research through citizen science projects, and how technologies can help.
